What Do Masons Do, Anyway?

The folks at Masonic Travels have come up with another excellent post.  Here's a short piece on what Masons do.

What do Masons do, anyway?

The Nazi Party Hated Masons

On The Level, a Masonic website/blog that offers daily Masonic education by email did a recent series of 3 articles on the anti-mason views of the Nazi regime during the era of WWII.  I thought it was interesting reading, so I'm sharing it with you all.

The Digital Freemason Podcast

First of all, if you're wondering what a podcast is, just think of it as an amateur TV or Radio show that you listen to on your computer or on your iPod/MP3 player.

Now, if you're asking if there really is such a thing, then you're in luck!  The Digital Freemason has been a podcast for nearly three years now.  I just finished listening to "Lodge Number One" - a Christmas story of sorts - and I love that not only can I listen to these throughout my work day, but that I can then download the text later and share it with others.

Be sure to check out The Digital Freemason

Vacant Chair Degree (In Memoriam, Veteran's Day)

I came across a post on From Darkness to Light , a Brother Mason's blog, and read about the Vacant Chair Degree that was performed at some lodges around Veteran's Day.  This is the first time I have heard of the degree, but in case it is yours, I am uploading it here for your viewing pleasure.

Is Freemasonry a Charity?

One of our brother e-Masons wrote a nice little piece about wether or not Masonry is a charity in and of itself, or wether it's something more.

Give it a read: Is Freemasonry a Charity?
